Our FAA Certificated Flight Simulators each have well-equipped Instructor Operating Stations outside of each training room. The IOS allows the instructor to set weather and failures, reposition aircraft, and pause in mid-flight. Now, by popular demand, pilots can pause in mid-flight without leaving the flight simulator cockpit. We have modified our Precision Flight Controls GTX AATD simulators to include pause and reboot buttons (silver buttons in photo) on the front panel of the cockpit.
It seems like a little thing, but little things sometimes mean a lot in a training scenario. Now, a pilot can pause a flight immediately, without taking her eyes off of the visual scene in front of her. The same button allows you to resume flight from where you left off, without leaving the room. You asked; we delivered!
